Bytes Technology Group Strengthens Cyber Security & Managed Services Capabilities Through Acquisition of CyberOne
4:25

The transaction supports Bytes Technology Group’s investment in specialist capabilities across Cloud, Cyber and AI and expands support for customers navigating secure digital and AI transformation.

Bytes Technology Group plc today announced that it has acquired CyberOne Limited, a Microsoft-focused cyber security specialist headquartered in London providing cyber consultancy, deployment and managed security services.

The acquisition strengthens the Group’s cyber security and managed services capabilities at a time when organisations are managing greater complexity across identity, data, cloud and AI. In research commissioned by Alliance Manchester Business School and conducted by Censuswide, the most common option selected by 500 business leaders for why their roles had become more complex since 2020 was ‘the emergence of new technologies, such as AI and other digital transformation projects’. The acquisition brings together Bytes’ customer relationships, Microsoft expertise and broader technology capabilities with CyberOne’s specialist security knowledge and operational services.

For over twenty years since its foundation by CEO Dominic List, CyberOne has supported organisations across the Microsoft security stack, including security design, deployment and optimisation, identity and data protection, incident response, cyber consultancy, managed detection and response and 24x7x365 security operations. The combination will help customers gain more value from their Microsoft investments, strengthen cyber resilience and approach AI adoption with clearer security and governance foundations.

Customer Continuity & Opportunity

Bytes, Phoenix Software and CyberOne customers will see no changes to the quality of service they know and love. Over time, the Group will create greater access to specialist expertise across cyber security, Microsoft technologies, managed services, Cloud and AI.

For Bytes Software Services customers, the acquisition adds depth to the existing cyber proposition and creates a clearer route from licensing and advisory conversations through deployment, optimisation and managed security services. For Phoenix Software customers, future use of CyberOne capability will gain assurance through the appropriate public-sector, assurance and customer requirements. For CyberOne customers, existing relationships and service commitments will in future be supported by the resources and wider capabilities of Bytes Technology Group.

We are excited about what our teams can achieve together.”

“Cyber security is central to how our customers modernise, adopt AI and protect the services they depend on. CyberOne has built a great reputation and customer base on its specialist Microsoft security capability, strong service culture and operational expertise that complement the relationships and breadth of capability already within Bytes Technology Group. Together, we see a clear opportunity to help more organisations secure, deploy and manage their technology with confidence.”
